This page is a summary. The full, legally operative Terms of Service for the hosted service are at veriworkly.com/terms. Where the two differ, the canonical terms govern.
These Terms govern your use of the hosted VeriWorkly service operated by the VeriWorkly Team. They do not restrict your rights to use, modify, or redistribute the source code under the MIT License.

1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
2. Scope of service
VeriWorkly provides a local-first career workspace: a resume and cover letter builder, a public portfolio builder, an ATS checker, AI writing assistance, and a shared Master Profile. Cloud synchronisation, sharing, AI, ATS scanning, profile import, and portfolio publishing are optional features requiring an account.
Some features are gated by a paid entitlement. See Billing & Credits for what each plan includes.
3. Your content
Ownership
You retain full intellectual property rights and ownership of everything you create in the Service.
Licence to operate
By using cloud features you grant the operator a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and process your content solely to provide the Service — synchronising documents across your devices, serving a share link you created, publishing a portfolio you published, and passing content to an AI provider for an action you triggered.
Portability
Every document exports to six formats including raw JSON, so you can leave with your data at any time.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully. Prohibited activities include:
- Circumventing authentication, rate limiting, quotas, entitlement checks, or other security measures.
- Distributing malware or phishing content, including through a published portfolio or share link.
- Automated scraping or data mining of the Service's infrastructure.
- Reverse engineering or unauthorised modification of the hosted Service (this does not restrict your MIT-licensed rights over the source code).
- Sharing or reselling API keys, or using them to build a competing resale of VeriWorkly's AI capacity.
Growth-program participants are additionally bound by program-specific terms — self-referral is prohibited, and affiliates may not bid on VeriWorkly brand keywords in paid advertising. See Affiliate Program.
5. Billing
- Payment processor: Dodo Payments. VeriWorkly does not store full payment card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and can be cancelled from
/billing. - Free trial: a 7-day trial is applied automatically for first-time monthly Creator Pro subscribers.
- AI credits: monthly subscription credits do not roll over between billing cycles. One-time credit packs expire 90 days after purchase, or immediately on cancellation of an associated subscription where stated. Pass-granted credits expire when the pass's window ends.
- Grace period: if a subscription lapses, a published portfolio remains live for a grace period (7 days by default) before it is suspended.
6. Intellectual property
The VeriWorkly application source code is distributed under the MIT License.
Portfolio templates are not MIT-licensed
The four portfolio templates (Signal, Atelier, Nimbus, Cipher) live in a separate private repository included as a git submodule. They are not part of the MIT-licensed public repository, and the MIT grant does not extend to them.
VeriWorkly's name, logo, and brand assets are not covered by the MIT grant.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. THE VERIWORKLY TEAM EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
AI-generated content is produced by third-party models and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing anything you send to an employer. ATS readiness scores are heuristic guidance, not a guarantee of how any particular applicant tracking system will parse your document.
8. Limitation of liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE VERIWORKLY TEAM BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
9. Self-hosted deployments
These Terms apply to the hosted service at veriworkly.com. If you run your own instance, you are the operator: you set your own terms, and the VeriWorkly Team is not a party to your users' use of your deployment.
