Roadmap
The VeriWorkly ATS Engine's 0.x stability policy, the API changes planned before 1.0, what is planned without dates, and what will not be built.
The VeriWorkly ATS Engine is 0.x. This page says what that means for upgrades, what is deprecated, and what the project plans and refuses to build. There are no dates.
Stability in 0.x
Any change to the report's shape, to the policy schema, or to the score or recovered fields for the same input and policy is breaking. While the package is 0.x, a breaking change is a minor release and its changelog entry starts with Breaking:. From 1.0 it is a major release. The same rule applies to the MCP server's tool results.
So a patch release never moves a score, and a minor release can. Pin an exact version where a score must not change, and read the changelog before a minor upgrade. Every report carries engine.version and engine.policy, so you can tell whether a changed score came from the engine or from the resume. See Scoring. The rule is written in the repository's .changeset/README.md.
Only the latest minor release receives security fixes while the package is 0.x.
Before 1.0
Everything exported today stays until 1.0, with these exceptions.
Removed in 1.0: level on AtsParsedEducation, highestDegree on AtsParsedResume, AtsDegreeLevel and DEGREE_LABELS. Use isced, highestIsced and ISCED_LABELS instead.
Candidates to rename or make internal at 1.0, decided then rather than changed now:
AtsScoringService, the class the documentedcheck()function calls.check()is the supported entry point.TaskRoute, which may becomeAtsAiRoute.AiEvalCaseandAiEvalReport, which may gain anAtsprefix.- Accidental exports:
chatCompletionBody,messagesBody,localizePolicy,parseQualityand the grounding helpers.
Do not build on those last exports.
Planned
No dates, and nothing here is promised for a release.
- OCR for scanned PDFs, as an optional Node subpath. It would never raise the score: a scan stays a parsing problem the candidate should fix.
- Spelling and grammar, as advice only, in an optional subpath.
- A skills taxonomy, as policy data.
- Reading PDF and DOCX in the browser. Today
/nodeis Node only. - More language packs, starting with Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, and native-speaker review of the community packs. See the pack status.
Will not be built
- A simulation per ATS vendor. The engine states only what a vendor documents publicly, each note with its source.
- Ranking multiple candidates. The engine is for a candidate checking their own resume. See Responsible use.
- OCR, grammar or a taxonomy in the core bundle. They stay optional so the core stays small.
- A model-produced score. The score is deterministic and never depends on a model.
- A hosted MCP server. The MCP server runs on your machine, so a resume stays there.
Asking for something
Open an issue on GitHub to request a feature, a language pack or a rule change. For a security problem, use the address in Security instead of a public issue.
